Available for sale will be approximately 60 head of high-quality gilts and barrows born between mid-January and mid-February that will work very well for July and early-August county fairs.
The majority of the hogs offered are crossbreds. However, there will be a handful of purebred Yorkshire and Berkshire hogs available for sale as well.
8 AM: Doors open and First-Come, First-Serve Sale begins
9 AM: Select Bid-Off Sale begins
First-come, First-Serve, Pre-Priced Sale:
The majority of the hogs will be pre-priced and sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will open promptly at 8 AM.
Select Bid-Off Sale:
Starting at 9 AM, approximately 15 select gilts and barrows will be sold using a bid-off method. These animals will also be available for viewing when the barn doors open at 8am. These animals will each have a predetermined starting base price and will be penned in the same barn, but separately from First-Come, First-Serve sale pigs.
